What is the GDPR?
Commencing on May 25, 2018, a new privacy law called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will take effect in the European Union (EU). It will regulate how an organisation treats and/or uses the personal data of EU citizens, including organisations located outside of the EU. It will replace the national data protection laws currently in place with a single set of rules, directly enforceable in each EU member state. The GDPRs focus is the protection, collection and management of personal data, (i.e. data about individuals) and it applies to all organisations who hold or otherwise process personal data of people in EU Member States.

This includes mailing lists, email addresses etc.How does GDPR change privacy law?GDPR gives people more rights over how companies collect and use personal data.
